Museum friends get involved with the Villa Medica
A lively museum needs many supporters and sponsors. For this reason, the Förderkreis Medizin- und Apothekenmuseum e.V. was founded in 2014. It supports the museum with financial resources, advice and voluntary work.
The Förderkreis supports the cultural activities at Villa Medica. Since the reopening in summer 2025, the range has expanded: In addition to the permanent medical history exhibition and the many special exhibitions on various topics from art, culture and history, this now also includes the “Old Mill”. It is a place of communication and education, where specialist lectures can be held and experimental programs for school classes can be carried out.
The various facets of its offering make the Villa Medica an important cultural location in Rhede, which is also important beyond the town’s borders. Friends of the museum in the support group therefore also make a valuable contribution to the town’s society.
It is worth paying an annual contribution for the preservation and development of our museum, at least €30.00, or more if you wish. We also welcome donations and sponsorship. Membership fees and donations are tax deductible.
